Obviously we recommend buying honey from your local beekeeper, but for those who don’t we want them to know exactly which country the honey that they are buying is from.
Currently all honey packers have to put on the label is “A blend of EU and Non EU honey”: what does that mean? Most imported honey comes from China and much of the imported honey contains fillers such as sugar syrup or corn syrup.
Let’s get the Government to force honey packers to tell us where the honey is from so that consumers can make an informed choice.
