Welcome
Welcome to the Barnsley Beekeepers Association website, the home of bee keeping in and around Barnsley in South Yorkshire. The Barnsley Beekeepers Association is a district of the Yorkshire Beekeepers Association (YBKA), which is turn the largest county member of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).
We hope that this site will provide you with useful information about the Association and beekeeping in general. Bee keeping has seen a large number of people come into the craft in the last few years. You might be the next to take up bee keeping. With a little help, this should be quite possible and, hopefully, you will be making your own honey.
By using this site, we hope that you learn more about honey bees. If you can’t find what you are looking for or want to try your hand at working with bees before you venture into doing it for yourself, please get in touch and we will try and help.
